As a way of making you feel comfortable and reinforcing the trust in our relationship, I wanted to be sure you have access to our privacy & affiliate disclosure page. You know posts on this blog contain affiliate links. If I recommend a product to you, you can know I trust it completely, use it myself, or will use it when the need arises.
This policy may occasionally change, and any changes will be reflected in updates to this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are up to date with any changes. This policy is effective from February 2, 2016.
What We Collect
The Farmer’s Lamp may collect the following information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service: contact information including email address, demographic information such as postal code, preferences and interests, and other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.
What We Do With The Information
The Farmer’s Lamp collects user data for the following reasons:
• To improve our products and services and/or customize the website according to user interests.
• To periodically send email newsletter or other information we think you may find interesting using the email address that you have provided.
My affiliate programs include the Amazon Services LLC, Associates Program, which is an affiliate advertising program designed to provide sites like The Farmer’s Lamp a way to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
As an affiliate of Amazon and others, I receive a small commission from the purchase price on anything bought through one of the links on this site, including purchases you make that I did not link directly to. This NEVER affects the price you pay, nor does it add any hidden costs to you. Never.
Other Sponsorship Forms
This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions and other forms of compensation. The compensation received may influence the content selected to publish and the timing of that post. Compensated content, advertising space or posts will be identified via the guidelines set forth in FTC disclosure rules.
Cookies (small files which ask permission to be placed on your hard drive) help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to identify which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
We use traffic log cookies to analyze web page traffic and improve our website. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then remove the data.
The Farmer’s Lamp is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
As with all my posts, the photos on my blog are also copyrighted. You are welcome to share my posts as long as you link them to The Farmer’s Lamp and give TFL full credit. Do not use my photos or articles for any other use without asking me first as I do retain all rights to my photos and content.
This copyright policy includes photos prepared for Pinterest. Do not remove the link to my site when you pin from TFL. You are stealing and violating this clearly stated policy. You will also be in violation of the copyright policies of Pinterest when you do this.
If you are caught stealing from TFL, you will have 24 hours to remove the stolen photo from where you shared it or you will be billed and your information will be forwarded to my attorney. You will be charged for all attorney’s fees and miscellaneous charges involved.
Pretty much like photos. Don’t steal. You are not allowed to copy or otherwise use any of my content, including recipes in part or in whole.
If you use my original content for sharing purposes, it can only be 10% of it and you MUST link that content back to TFL in a prominent way. You are allowed to summarize any post on TFL as long as you place a prominent, this doesn’t mean a tiny out-of-the-way link, link to my home page. Should you want to use my article in some other way, just contact me, we can probably work something out.
Any violation of this policy will be treated seriously. Not only will you be billed at my current freelance writing rates, but you will also have only 24 hours to respond with payment or removal of the material in question.
I will file a DMCA complaint and forward your information to my attorney if you do not respond appropriately. As with photo stealing, you will be billed for all fees and miscellaneous charges incurred.
I am not a medical doctor or a veterinarian. Each of us is responsible for our own health and for that of our animals. Please do your own research before using any solution, products, plants, herbs, treatments, and essential oils I or anyone else recommends.
All the information on TFL is for educational purposes only. No statement has been evaluated by any federal agency, medical expert, or nutritionist. If in question, please contact your doctor or veterinarian.
